Every single piece from Canoa Lab is handmade in Spain. While avoiding mass reproduction processes, the artists, Raquel and Padro, research and develop some of the most ancient ceramic and goldsmithing techniques. Accordingly, their collections are based on press-moulding, coiling, wax-modelling and lost-wax casting. Moreover, the main material use to build their pieces is local stoneware with grog. They have also developed the finishing and surface treatments, which are at the very core of their work. Each ceramic piece is a reflection of their respect for nature and raw materials, and of their deep devotion to craftsmanship.
